Kingston  [New Zealand, 2012]
The Kingston Flyer is a must-see for steam buffs in the South Island, a vintage railway with two 1920s New Zealand-built locomotives huffing between the towns of Kingston and Fairlight. The original Flyer was an express train between Kingston, Gore and Invercargill from the 1890s until 1937; today's steam trips operate on a 14km stretch of track restored in the 1970s. The Flyer's future had been looking bleak but a financial rescue in 2010 has put the trains back on track.
