Hump Ridge Track  [New Zealand, 2012]
A bush tramway which once followed the Southland coast has long since been pulled up, but a series of massive viaducts remain. Built in the 1920s the tramway linked the former timber town of Port Craig with logging sites deep in the bush; the largest viaduct, Percy Burn, is 125m long and 36m high, a wooden engineering marvel that helped bankrupt the logging firm that built it.
