Hiring a bicycle in the Tongan capital, Nuku'alofa,  is a delight - and inexpensive too, at 10 pa'anga (NZ$8) a day. The elderly business owner is almost entirely deaf, so it's up his friend, pictured, to pass on customer requests by shouting in his ear.
